20 Second response leads to window smashing intruder arrest

One of our always observing CCTV operators spotted a suspicious suspect tampering with a vehicle parked in the Holstead Gardens area, yesterday afternoon.
CCTV footage shows the suspect breaking the back seat window using a red cloth, then climbing into the car and removing valuables. Notified by our vigilant CCTV operator, one of our dispatchers mobilized a response vehicle to the area. Within 20 seconds, our response officer was on scene causing the now startled thief to flee. Without hesitation our swift response officer gave chase, successfully detaining the window smashing suspect.
