The World Outside: 4 Days of Durban in Lockdown captured

Day one of lockdown arrived and the nation appeared to come to a stand still. The streets were empty as Durban residents, along with the rest of South Africa, bundled up at home for a cool, cloudy day indoors. Deemed as essential services, our Blue team were out patrolling, keeping a watchful eye on the world outside.
Two days into lockdown and some businesses continued to operate, illegally. In one instance, our Durban North Tactical Team were busy assisting SAPS with a road block on the M4 when they received a call that a business, within the Durban North community, was continuing to operate without a permit. Both SAPS and our Tactical team attended the scene to ensure the business closed down their operations.
Although much quieter, the streets were still very much alive as we progressed into day three of lockdown. Residents ventured out to collect their daily essentials and supermarkets were buzzing with shoppers stocking up on groceries. Day four of lockdown saw a similar narrative, with senior Durban residents out to collect their payout and our armed response officers not far behind, keeping an eye out, ensuring their safety.
