Alert response officers track down three robbers in Amanzimtoti

Alert Blue Security armed response officers arrested three robbers who allegedly mugged a woman in Amanzimtoti last week.
Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said a woman had been mugged in Umdoni Road before 7am on Wednesday. “Our officers took a description of the robbers from the victim and patrolled the area in search of the gang. They found the three alleged robbers walking along Beach Road and approached them,” he said.
“They recovered the woman’s stolen goods from the gang and arrested the three men. The suspects were handed over to the Amanzimtoti police at the scene and the items were returned to the victim,” he said.
Jackson commended the diligence of the officers in tracking down the suspects.
“We hope that the arrest sends a strong message to criminals that crime will not be tolerated on our watch. Our team is vigilant and committed to the fight against crime. We want the neighbourhood to become a no go zone for criminals to ensure that residents can feel safe again,” he said.
