Armed Response

Blue Security Armed Response and Tactical Officers successfully apprehended two suspects following an armed robbery at a petrol station in Riverhorse Valley during the early hours of Monday morning.
A Blue Security Armed Response Officer was flagged down by a guard at the Engen Garage on Queen Nandi Drive, who reported that suspects were in the process of robbing the shop. The officer immediately called for backup, and additional Armed Response and Tactical Officers were dispatched to assist.
The suspects had fled the scene on foot toward Quarry Park Road, while another suspect, driving a Ford Figo, escaped in a vehicle. Blue Security Officers conducted an immediate search of the area and located two male suspects, aged 15 and 17, hiding under a tree. The suspects were apprehended, and a blank firearm, cash, cigarettes, and cell phones were recovered.
Members of the South African Police Service from Greenwood Park attended the scene and took the suspects into custody for further investigation.
This successful response demonstrates Blue Security’s rapid coordination, bravery, and dedication to keeping Durban’s communities safe.
