Blue Security Tactical Officers received information regarding a stolen Toyota Cross, with tracking coordinates placing the vehicle in W Section, Umlazi.
Members immediately mobilised to the reported location and, working alongside Netstar, conducted a search of the surrounding area. The stolen Toyota Cross was successfully located abandoned inside an unoccupied building.
Umlazi SAPS was notified and attended the scene to carry out the necessary recovery procedures and continue with the investigation.
This marks yet another successful recovery of a stolen Toyota Cross, a vehicle model that has recently been increasingly targeted by criminals. The recovery highlights the importance of rapid response, intelligence-led operations and strong collaboration between Blue Security, vehicle tracking companies and law enforcement.
