Apprehension of Suspects Wanted for Theft Out of Motor Vehicle

Theft out of motor vehicle – Hillcrest 

At approximately 09:00, Blue Security’s Central Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) received a Snipr alert regarding a motor vehicle wanted in connection with theft out of motor vehicles in the Hillcrest area.

The CCPU team immediately mobilised to the area and conducted observations for the identified vehicle.

At about 11:00, the vehicle was spotted travelling along Inanda Road in the direction of Waterfall. Blue Security’s CCPU team moved in behind the vehicle while maintaining visual contact and coordinated with SAPS Hillcrest, who were notified during the pursuit.

The vehicle was safely brought to a stop in Waterfall with the assistance of SAPS. Three suspects were detained on scene without incident.

The suspects and the vehicle were escorted to Hillcrest SAPS for processing and further investigation.
