Armed response duo corner suspect in Berea

This morning armed response officer Patrick received a call from a domestic worker in Sir Arthur Road, who stated that she had seen a suspicious person on a neighbouring property in Hollander Crescent. Patrick immediately contacted the area manager who dispatched response officer Eric, and both officers responded to the call.
Upon arrival the officers found a challenge in conducting a check on the property, due to the high perimeter walls. Eric was undeterred and, determined to track the suspect down, proceeded to scale the wall, while Patrick sought entry from the back of the premises. He found an interleading gate from a neighbouring residence, and spotted the suspect in his hiding place. Eric closed in from the front of the house and the officers cornered the suspect.
When the client arrived, she recognised the suspect and recalled that she had seen him walk past her house the previous day, and the suspect tried to hide his face from her.
Berea SAPS arrived on the scene and arrested the suspect, and the client proceeded to open a case.
