Armed Response

Armed robbers held up an Umhlanga security guard and demanded his firearm on Sunday night.
Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said the two armed men driving a Black VW Polo had pulled into the driveway of a property in Portland Road at around 8.30pm.
“The men jumped out of their vehicle and held up the security guard at gunpoint, demanding his firearm,” Jackson said. “The gang realised the guard was unarmed so they robbed him of his wallet and cellphone before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.”
