Armed robbers loot Umhlanga jewellery store

A gang of armed robbers held up staff from a jewellery store at The Pearls Mall in Umhlanga and fled with jewellery.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said four robbers had stormed into a jewellery store in the mall and held up staff at around noon.
“They gang grabbed jewellery from the store and fled towards the Durban CBD in a Silver Polo. Police are searching for the gang,” Mathios said.
This comes after two separate incidents where armed robbers stormed shopping centres in Overport and Seaview earlier this week.
