Armed robbers open fire on Riverhorse Valley security guard

Armed robbers opened fired on a security guard at a business premises in Riverhorse Valley last night.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said a gang of robbers cut through the fence of the Island Circle property to gain entry at around 10.30pm. “The suspects fired three shots at the security guard who was sitting in the guard hut. Fortunately the hut has bullet proof windows and the guard was not injured during the shooting,” he said. “The robbers then broke into the business premises and fled with computers and laptops,” Mathios said.
The incident was reported to the police who are investigating the incident.
