Attempted Vehicle Theft Leads to High-Speed Pursuit
A dramatic chase through Durban Central unfolded after a Bravo male suspect overpowered a female Metro Police officer and made off with a Metro Police vehicle.
Blue Security Responds to Reports of Shots Fired
Blue Security’s Armed Response Officers were dispatched to the Point area following reports of shots fired from local residents. Upon arrival, officers discovered that both Metro Police and SAPS members were already in pursuit of the stolen vehicle. Responding swiftly, the Blue Armed Response team joined the chase through the busy Durban Central area, navigating against oncoming traffic to assist law enforcement.
K9 Unit Joins the Chase
The Blue K9 Unit soon joined the pursuit, providing tactical support. The high-speed chase concluded at the intersection of Dr Goonam Street and Joe Slovo Street, where the suspect was successfully stopped and succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Investigation Continues
Authorities remained on site to conduct further investigations.
