Durban North Bag Snatcher Busted by Quick Responding Tactical Officer

A suspect in a case of theft was successfully arrested by a Blue Security tactical team member in Umgeni Park, Durban North, after a quick response and search on Tuesday morning.
“A member of the Blue Security tactical team was patrolling the Brown’s Drift area when he was flagged down by a member of the public who alerted him of a handbag theft from a nearby supermarket,” Darrel Moodley, Blue Security tactical ambassador for the North Durban Area said.
“The suspect had allegedly stolen the bag belonging to a security guard who was on duty in the shopping centre. After receiving a description of the suspect the tactical team member set off in pursuit of the man. He was successful, a short while later, in locating and apprehending the suspect,” Moodley said. The suspect was arrested and handed over to members of Greenwood Park SAPS for further processing.
“The detailed description given and swift reaction of both the eyewitness and tactical team member played an important part in tracking down the suspect. Well done to all involved,” Moodley said.
