Blue Security grows armed response fleet to largest on the Bluff

Blue Security has shown its commitment to the fight against crime on the Bluff by growing its fleet of armed response vehicles on the ground and installing CCTV surveillance cameras in the suburb.
Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said the company had completed a routine analysis of crime statistics in the area recently and decided to add an additional vehicle to the fleet. “We regularly keep an eye on crime and on our client statistics in the suburbs we serve with a view to ensuring that there are always sufficient resources on the ground to provide a quality, swift armed response service.”
Jackson said the vehicle had been added to the fleet this month, making the company’s fleet the largest in the suburb. “We also sponsored Blue Eye in the Sky cameras recently in conjunction with the Bluff Community Oriented Policing (COP). The cameras have been placed on the corner of Bluff Road and Old Mission Road and in Tara Road as a further service to fight crime and help residents to feel safe again,” he said.
Rake Jeeves, founder and commander of Bluff COP, said the addition of the vehicle was a “brilliant” boost for the fight against crime. “It is absolutely fantastic and it makes the whole area much safer. It means response times are going to be even faster. It doesn’t only help the public, but it also helps Bluff COP because Blue Security’s vehicles back up our reaction vehicles and they also assist SAPS,” he said. “Just the other day one of our members call for back up and he had four Blue vehicles on the scene within minutes.”
Bluff COP has its own voluntary reaction unit of 25 members and has a total of 70 active members who work with the organisation to fight crime.
