Blue Security’s Tactical Unit received a Snipr alert about a vehicle suspected to be involved in a recent armed robbery and hijacking in Umdloti. The vehicle was later spotted traveling along Old Main Road in Bothas Hill.

Blue Security’s Tactical and Armed Response teams swiftly mobilised, intercepting the vehicle and detaining the driver, who was operating a paid rideshare with three passengers. Inchanga SAPS were called to the scene and, after questioning, determined that the passengers were unaffiliated with the incident and had merely hired the driver for transport.

The driver was positively identified as a suspect involved in the armed robbery and hijacking in Umdloti and was handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

This interception highlights the effectiveness of Blue Security’s integrated surveillance and rapid response capabilities, ensuring safer communities through proactive crime prevention.
