Blue Security has significantly invested in advanced security technology across the suburbs north of Durban, creating a safer environment for families, properties, and communities. This investment strengthens protection today and lays a foundation of security for future generations.
Strengthening Safety: New Camera Network Protects Northern Durban Communities
A total of 110 camera sites now protect the areas north of Durban. These include 37 Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and 246 AI-enabled overview cameras. Sixty-one new sites were strategically established in priority areas such as major intersections, hotspots, and entry or exit routes, while 49 existing sites were upgraded. Each site is supported by back-up power, ensuring surveillance remains active for up to four hours during load-shedding.

As part of this investment, three new armed response vehicles have been added to the existing fleet in the area to increase and strengthen our resources in Avoca, Umgeni Park, and Glen-An-Hills. These vehicles provide faster response times and greater reassurance for residents in these areas.
