Blue Security Tracks Down Suspects Linked to Bridge Rail Theft

Blue Security Control Room received information regarding two suspects allegedly stealing metal bridge railings from the bridge in the Kloof area. A Blue Security Armed Response Officer and Tactical Unit were immediately dispatched to investigate.
Upon arrival, responding members confirmed that sections of the metal bridge railings had been cut and removed. An initial search of the immediate area did not locate the suspects.
Blue Security Tactical Officers and the Armed Response Officer continued searching the surrounding area and successfully located and apprehended both suspects on the M13.
SAPS attended the scene, and both suspects were handed over for further investigation and the necessary legal processes.
The successful outcome highlights the effectiveness of rapid response, persistence and coordinated teamwork in protecting public infrastructure and preventing criminal activity.
