Botanic Gardens: Festive Christmas Trail of Lights.

festival-of-lightsWhen last did you take time to go to Africa’s oldest surviving botanic gardens? If you have to think about it then it’s been long enough!
The festive season is in the air! Day by day, night by night the excitement bubbles and boils within us as the days of festivities, holidays and giving back approach with pace.
The Botanic Gardens will be hosting an exquisite array of Christmas lights, decorations and festive cheer around the gardens to light up the night from the 17th of December till the 24th between 18:30 and 21:30. The gardens will take on a mystical atmosphere where there will be a 20-30 minute trail filled with sparkling bright light displays to thrill those who come to experience the gleaming awe of the gardens. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera to document the beauty that will be displayed for the week leading up to Christmas day.
The event has been put together by multiple charities around the Durban area as well as the Durban Botanic Garden Trust in hopes to raise funds for their charities as well as to showcase the real beauty of the gardens.
