Success Report: CCPU Operation – Hijacking Syndicate Disruption in Umlazi

Incident: Hijacking Syndicate Disruption

CCPU (Community Crime Prevention Unit) Members were mobilised to assist with gathering critical intelligence regarding an active hijacking syndicate operating in Umlazi.

Following collaborative efforts and actionable information, roleplayers secured and entered an identified premises located in G Section, Umlazi.

Findings and Arrests:
– 1 unlicensed firearm with serial number removed
– 1 magazine
– 3 live rounds of ammunition
– 1 signal jammer

Two male suspects were found in possession of the above and were arrested on-site. Both individuals were processed at Umlazi SAPS.

All exhibits were handed over and booked as evidence.

This operation underscores the power of inter-agency collaboration and timely intelligence in dismantling criminal networks and keeping our communities safe.
