Armed Response

The annual Highlands Gathering in Amanzimtoti has long been a highlight on the local calendar, and 2025 was no exception. As one of the region’s most cherished cultural events, this gathering has brought families, businesses, and civic organisations together for more than 20 years, celebrating unity, heritage, and community spirit.
This year, Blue Security was proud to be part of the festivities. Our team hosted an interactive stand that showcased the very essence of what we do—keeping communities safer, smarter, and more connected.
Representing Blue Security on the day was our dedicated Amanzimtoti Community Manager, Idan Smollen, who engaged with local residents and shared valuable safety tips. Alongside him, our specialist sales team demonstrated some of our latest smart technology solutions, including AI-powered surveillance, solar integrations, and the Blue Remote Panic Kit.
We were also privileged to collaborate with the local SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, reinforcing our shared commitment to proactive crime reduction and awareness. Together, we educated attendees about vital issues such as cyber safety, human trafficking, and community reporting, with visual materials reminding everyone that “Online friends are strangers” and “Human trafficking is modern slavery.”
Visitors to our stand had the opportunity to learn more about:
How our Community Command Centre (CCC) operates in real time.
Our layered approach to security, including patrols, armed response, and client care.
Smart energy solutions and battery backups for security systems during load shedding.
The importance of being digitally alert in an age of online risks.
The Highlands Gathering is more than just an event, it is a reflection of the strong community values that drive Amanzimtoti. Our presence at this event reaffirmed our commitment to supporting these values, while building trust and connection with the people we protect every day.
We would like to extend our thanks to the organisers, SAPS partners, and every resident who stopped by to chat, learn, or simply say hello. Together, we continue to shape a safer future for Amanzimtoti, one conversation, one partnership, and one neighbourhood at a time.
