Coordinated Response Brings Burglary Suspect to Justice
Rapid Response to Burglary in Progress
Blue Security Tactical Officers and Armed Response Officers responded swiftly to reports of a suspect on site at a property along Frank Avenue in Westville. Upon arrival, the suspect fled the scene, moving through multiple neighbouring properties in an attempt to evade detection.
Area Containment and Joint Search Operation
Through coordinated communication and area containment, the suspect was later located at a property along Dorsetshire Road. A joint search operation was conducted, with Blue Security Tactical and Armed Response Officers assisting alongside private security partners, while SAPS members secured the perimeter.
Suspect Located and Safely Detained
The suspect was eventually located hiding in a dense bushy area at the rear of the property. When spotted, he attempted to flee but was effectively blocked by responding members. The suspect then surrendered without further incident and was safely detained.
The individual was handed over to SAPS on scene and is believed to be linked to several burglary incidents in the area.
