COORDINATED SEARCH LEADS TO THE RECOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Area: Highway
Date: 7 July 2026
Blue Security Tactical Officers were conducting patrols in the Pineridge and Moseley Park areas following reports of two suspects seen on a property in Moseley Park. The suspects had allegedly used an opening in the property to remove items from inside the home. Alert neighbours witnessed the incident and immediately notified the Blue Security Control Room.
Blue Security Armed Response Officers and Tactical Officers responded promptly. On noticing the responding members, the suspects dropped the stolen property and fled the scene.
A short while later, Blue Security received further information that two suspects matching the same descriptions had broken into a vehicle in the nearby area. Responding members immediately began searching for the suspects, expanding the search to surrounding roads and likely escape routes.
During the search, Blue Security Tactical Officers located two individuals matching the descriptions provided. Additional members responded to assist, and both suspects were successfully detained.
A search of the suspects resulted in the recovery of a vehicle radio faceplate, a vehicle licence disc and other property belonging to the complainant. Members also recovered fragments of a spark plug, believed to have been used to break the vehicle window. These items were secured as evidence.
The owner of the vehicle attended the scene and positively identified the recovered property. Metro Police assisted with transporting the suspects to Pinetown SAPS, where cases relating to both incidents were opened and the suspects were handed over for further investigation and the necessary legal processes.
