Armed Response

Two suspects wanted for multiple crimes in the Upper Highway area were arrested on Monday night, by Blue Security’s Crime Prevention Unit and partnered crime intelligence networks.
It took weeks of persistent planning and collecting intel on the suspects’ whereabouts, patterns, and general modus operandi to make the successful arrest. Blue Security’s Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU), together with SAPS’ Flying Squad and other crime-fighting partners, arrested the two men who are wanted for numerous serious crimes.
“After tracking the suspects for some time, new information had come forward on their whereabouts. The team met at a selected point and together, made their way to the suspects who were in the Waterfall area. The plan was well coordinated and executed as shortly after the first suspect was arrested, the second was also arrested, at a different location in Waterfall,” Blue’s Community Crime Prevention Unit’s (CCPU) Spokesperson.

Blue’s CCPU Spokesperson also said that “the suspects have been positively linked to four other incidents within the Upper Highway footprint, and SAPS are continuing investigations into their involvement in other crimes.”
These arrests are a result of well-planned strategies and a strong working relationship between Blue Security and other crime-fighting partners who unite with the common goal of eradicating crime. We would like to commend the Crime Prevention Unit and SAPS’ Flying Squad for their dedication to catching these offenders.
Our Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) will continue their good work this festive season so you can enjoy the holidays safely, and with the peace of mind that Blue is watching over you, your family, and your home.
