Culprits Caught on CCTV: Tactical Op leads to Successful Bust

A combined operation on Monday, by Blue Security’s Tactical Team and armed-response officers, was successful in rounding up employees suspected of onsite theft.
“The units descended on a property in the Moseley area after working on supplied information that staff members had allegedly been stealing from the property,” the Tactical ambassador for the Central area said.
“After the culprits had been identified on CCTV footage retrieved from the premises the Blue Security Tactical Team working together with the owner waited for the staff to return from the day’s work. Once the suspected offenders arrived back at the yard the gate was closed and the Tactical Team and armed response officers approached the occupants of the truck to commence questioning,” he said.
He said the tactical officer had first ascertained that the suspects were in fact those who were identified by the employer. “After their identities had been confirmed the suspects were handcuffed, detained and taken to an awaiting vehicle and SAPS was notified to attend the scene,” the Tactical ambassador said.
A comprehensive, itemized list of tools and various other items taken from the yard were supplied for Blue Security to submit as evidence. SAPS will be investigating the matter.
