Durban North Tactical Officer Apprehends Suspects in Possession of Stolen Goods

Two alleged housebreaking suspects, who were arrested on the M4 walking towards the city early this morning, may be linked to various incidents in the Glenashley/Durban North area.
“The arrests were a result of the observant Durban North Tactical Officer who, while on patrol, spotted the suspects carrying suspicious-looking items,” Blue Security’s Durban North Tactical Ambassador said.
“A housebreaking incident had been reported to Blue Security in the early hours of the morning in the Glenashley area and our tactical officer doubled back to question the suspects,” the Tactical Ambassador said.
“On further investigation the two suspects (one of whom was a minor) were found to be in possession of a hifi, speaker and an assortment of implements such as torches, side cutters, screwdrivers and other wire tools that are used in housebreakings,” he said.
“Backup arrived to assist with questioning the suspects, shortly followed by Durban North SAPS, who had been notified of the incident,” the Tactical Ambassador said.
“The suspects were taken to Durban North SAPS for further processing to establish whether they can be linked to various housebreaking cases in the area,” he said.
