Armed Response

Taking an aggressive stand against crime, Blue Security’s dedicated Durban North tactical team are reinforcing the community’s security measures for safer homes.
The recent deployment of the first Eye in the Sky CCTV surveillance cameras in the area, fitted with highly effective ANPR (Automated Number Plate Recognition) cameras, was the first step in enhancing the suburb’s security.
An ANPR camera captures the number plate of every single vehicle that drives past it and automatically cross-references it with the SAPS database. If the vehicle is flagged as stolen, hijacked or wanted for being involved in criminal activity, a high alert notification is immediately circulated to Blue Security and the police, enabling a swift response to the scene.
Taking our commitment to a safer Durban North even further, three additional ANPR cameras have now been installed at key high‑traffic points across the northern suburbs. These strategic sites were selected based on vehicle flow and vulnerability, ensuring that major access routes into the area are actively monitored.
The updated coverage map shows that these sponsored cameras now secure several primary arteries feeding into the Durban North suburbs. However, to achieve complete visibility over every entrance and exit, we still require five more ANPR cameras — and this is where your support makes all the difference.
