The Durban Street Food Festival will be lining Morrison Street this Heritage Day weekend with hearty food, the finest local musical talent and exquisite art and design this week, from the 24th to the 27th of September.
Taking Durban’s unique culinary experience back to the streets, the Festival creates an opportunity for you to explore the diverse cultures and cuisines of the east coast. Indulge in the unique flavours of Durban’s legendary inner-city and coastal vendors – without any judgment! Offering something for every palate, treat your tastebuds to bunny chows or shisa nyama, walky talkys or burgers, Asian or vegan cuisine, or simply tastes from every corner of our city.
While you’re strolling away in foodie heaven, you will be serenaded by harmonious sounds of the finest local musical talent, with live musicians throughout the day and smoking DJ’s to heat things up after sundown. From folk, indie rock and jazz to hip hop, there will be something to be enjoyed by everyone.
To round off the entire creative and artistic vibe that the Festival offers, Durban’s finest young talent will be showcased, from canvas to street art and beyond. Interview the artists and be one of the first to lay your eyes on the future of fashion by the city’s choice young designers. Be sure to stick around and be inspired by a series of short talks from Durban’s exceptional artists and entrepreneurs.
