Contractor sustains minor burns during Glenmore fire

A contractor sustained minor burns during a Glenmore fire that broke out while contractors were doing work on the roof of a house earlier this afternoon.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the fire broke out while a team of contractors was busy working on the roof of a house in the leafy suburb. “According to reports from the scene, an electrical fire started at around 2pm and engulfed the roof of the house. Fortunately no one was seriously injured in the blaze although one of the contractors sustained minor burns,” Mathios said.
“Rescue Care paramedics attended the scene to treat the burn victim while the eThekwini Fire Department battled the blaze,” Mathios said.
