Here come the squads!

Take some time out of your Saturday to give thanks and appreciation to the protectors of Durban.
Join the men and women that keep our city safe day after day this Saturday at Law Enforcement Day. A day dedicated to all the Emergency Services offered around the area.
The day is hosted by the Law Enforcement Foundation. Working closely with the foundation is the South African Police Services, local security companies, neighbourhood watches and local businesses. The purpose of Law Enforcement day is to highlight all the emergency services that sometimes go unappreciated such as the Fire and Bomb squads, Search and Rescue, Ambulance services and the Flying squad.
The day begins at 10:00 and is jam packed with action. From horse patrolling and marching drills to mock hijacking and vehicle collision simulations. All services will be bringing their gadgets and machines to get the public more involved in what these heroes get up to on a day-to-day basis.
The day contains more high pace action with helicopter landings and bomb diffusing amongst the snack stands and blazing sirens. Law Enforcement Day will be bringing Durban real live action to expose the true dangers of the world and how the different departments deal with them.
The Law Enforcement Foundation is a NPO (Non-Profit Organisation) thus, depends on the community for them to give contributions. All profits made from the day will be put straight into the funds for crime prevention and protection in our city.
While this event probably isn’t present on your calendar this year, give it a go! Head to The Crusaders sports club, 10 Ranleigh Crescent, Durban North this coming Saturday (26th August) from 10:00-16:00 to say hello and maybe thank you to the people who put their lives on the line to make sure we make it through the night.
