HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT LEADS TO STOLEN TOYOTA FORTUNER RECOVERY

During the early hours of 7 July 2026, Blue Security Tactical Officers were alerted by Tracker South Africa to a moving Toyota Fortuner that had been stolen from the Amanzimtoti area a short time earlier.
Acting on the tracking information, Blue Security Tactical Officers responded to the Umlazi area, where they spotted the stolen vehicle travelling at speed towards them along Mayibuye Road in the R Section.
Responding members immediately turned their vehicle around and initiated a pursuit. The chase continued through Umlazi until the suspects abandoned the stolen Toyota Fortuner along a gravel road in the Q Section before fleeing the scene on foot.
Blue Security Tactical Officers secured the recovered vehicle and maintained the scene until the arrival of Tracker South Africa, where the vehicle was formally handed over for the necessary recovery procedures.
This successful recovery highlights the effectiveness of rapid response, intelligence-led operations and the close collaboration between Blue Security and vehicle tracking partners in combating vehicle-related crime.
