Hijackers abduct Durban North motorist

Hijackers abducted a motorist in Durban North and then crashed his vehicle on the M4 last night. Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson the man was hijacked in Fairway Road at around 10.44pm.
“Four armed men hijacked him of his vehicle and pushed him into the back seat. They drove onto the M4 towards the CBD, but they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a barrier,” he said. “The men fled the scene leaving the motorist in the vehicle. No injuries were reported.” SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
Jackson advised motorists to be vigilant when arriving home and leaving work especially at night. “Driveways are prime spots for hijackings. It’s important to always check your surroundings for any suspicious individuals or vehicles that could be lurking nearby. If you notice anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, rather drive around the block before pulling into the driveway. If the individuals have not moved on, call the police and your security company to investigate.”
