Hillary Shoplifter Seized: Tactical Ambassador Sprints into Action

An alleged shoplifter was apprehended by Blue Security in Hillary, Durban, on Monday morning after fleeing from a nearby supermarket with more than R250 worth of goods.
“The Blue Security Tactical Ambassador for Moseley and Queensburgh, Andre Engels, had been driving along Stella Road in Hillary when he noticed a security guard chasing after a man running down the road,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios. “Our reaction officer immediately came to the guard’s assistance and was successful in apprehending the suspected shoplifter,” Mathios said.
“The chase followed an instore incident where the suspect had been observed, by a supermarket employee, concealing products under his jacket. He was then seen exiting the store without paying,” Mathios said.  It is alleged that the shoplifting suspect stole a number of goods, worth more than R250, before fleeing.
“The suspect was handed over to Bellair SAPS for processing,” Mathios said.
