Home invasion in Seaview: Domestic Worker Assaulted

During a home invasion in Seaview, a domestic worker was assaulted at her place of employment.
“The domestic worker first noticed the intruder when she heard a noise at the main gate and, on investigating, saw the suspect enter the property by derailing the driveway gate,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
“The intruder forced opened the Trelligate, kicked in the front door and entered the house. When he saw the domestic worker inside he kicked in an internal door and confronted her,” Mathios said, “the suspect then unhooked the TV from the lounge wall and fled. Jewellery was also stolen during the incident.”
“It is unclear whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle,” he said.
“Bellair SAPS attended the scene of the home invasion and assault and investigations are continuing,” he said.
