Blue Tactical teams up to take down wanted Waterfall housebreaker

Residents in the greater Waterfall area of Durban can sleep a little easier after the successful arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in numerous housebreaking and home invasions in the neighbourhood.
“A carefully-orchestrated operation on Friday night, by Blue tactical teams, a private investigator, SAPS flying squad members and the Shongweni K9 units led to the successful arrest of a sought-after suspect who was wanted for multiple housebreakings and home invasions in the Waterfall area,” says Russell Lawson, Blue Security tactical ambassador for the Highway Area.
“The notable arrest occurred after information obtained earlier in the week was acted upon and the suspect was tracked down to a location in the Molweni area,” says Lawson. The various parties involved in the operation devised a plan, once the information was received. The area was cordoned off and the suspect was arrested while standing outside smoking.
“The suspect was then taken to Hillcrest SAPS where he was processed and taken into custody. Further investigations are still ongoing as the man is linked to multiple housebreakings and home invasions in the greater Waterfall and Crestholme area,” Lawson adds.
Since he was arrested and taken into police custody, on Friday night, criminal activity has decreased to almost zero in the area. “The successful multi-disciplinary operation by all involved highlights the importance of teamwork and unity between various security units and SAPS,” says Lawson.
