Location: Inanda Road, Waterfall
Date: 16 April 2025
Incident: Suspect Creating Public Unrest

An armed suspect threatened staff at a local fast food outlet earlier today on Inanda Road. Waterfall Street Patrol received an alert via our community Emergency Group regarding a male suspect behaving aggressively at the premises.

WSP Patrollers, together with Blue Security, responded swiftly to the scene. Unfortunately, the suspect had already fled upon their arrival.

A detailed description provided by witnesses was immediately circulated, and a coordinated search commenced.

The suspect, who matched the circulated description, was later spotted further down the road attempting to blend in with the public. Responders on the ground maintained careful surveillance until the suspect moved away from the crowd and was no longer a direct threat.

At this point, the Blue Security Tactical Unit, supported by the Blue Security Tactical Ambassador, successfully apprehended the suspect. Two knives were found in his possession.

The suspect has since been handed over to Hillcrest SAPS and is facing appropriate charges.

Thank you to all involved for the quick and professional response that ensured the safety of our community.
