Incident: Joint Success Report Suspect Apprehended with Stolen Property Recovered

On March 31, 2025, an Armed Response officer from Blue Security exhibited remarkable vigilance and professionalism. The incident commenced when the Blue Security officer observed a suspicious individual walking along Esther Roberts Road, carrying a table. Recognizing the potential for criminal activity, the officer promptly approached the suspect for questioning. This swift action ensured that the suspect’s unusual behavior was addressed, ultimately leading to the discovery of an ongoing theft.

Shortly after the initial apprehension, an officer from Patron Shield Pigeon Valley UIP arrived at the scene. The timing was crucial, as the officer quickly verified that the table in the suspect’s possession had indeed been stolen from a residence on ZK Matthews Road.

Despite the rapid response, the suspect attempted to escape. However, his flight was brief. Following a short foot pursuit, he was apprehended again shortly after fleeing, thanks to the continued vigilance and quick actions of both the Patron Shield PVUIP and Blue Security officers. Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) arrive, took over the situation and transported the suspect to SAPS Umbilo Station for further processing.

While the suspect was in custody, Blue Security’s Area Manager remained on-site to assist the table’s owner. The property owner subsequently filed a theft report at SAPS Umbilo Station, ensuring that all necessary legal procedures were initiated.
