Kidnapped Victim Case Leads to Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Suspect Arrest

The Control Room received a request for assistance from a tracking team regarding a stolen vehicle located in the Flamingo Road area. Blue Security Tactical and Armed Response units responded immediately and proceeded to the provided location.

Upon arrival, the vehicle was located inside a residential property. It was established that the vehicle had been hijacked earlier on the South Coast. Members of the South African Police Service were on scene and gained access to the property by cutting the lock on the pedestrian gate in order to recover the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that a female victim had been kidnapped and held hostage by two suspects until approximately 21:00. The victim was later released, and the vehicle was subsequently brought to the identified property.

One suspect was apprehended on scene in connection with the incident. The vehicle was successfully recovered, and a case was registered for further investigation (CAS 97/3/26).
