Knifeman tracked down following attempted Pinetown mugging

Blue Security armed response officers arrested an alleged robber in a Pinetown mugging yesterday.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said three men had attempted to rob a man who was walking to work along Acacia Road in Caversham Glen at around 6am.
“The robbers held up the victim at knife point and tried to rob him of his cellphone. The victim threw his cellphone over the wall of a nearby property, and the homeowner then alerted our control centre to the incident,” Mathios said. “Our officers responded swiftly and tracked down and arrested one of the suspects, who had fled the scene of the crime. The victim’s cellphone was recovered.”
Mathios said the other two suspects remained at large.
