Armed Response

A trespassing suspect in the West Riding area got more than he bargained this week. A joint manhunt between the community and Blue Security armed response officers resulted in his arrest on Monday afternoon.

“Blue Security control centre received an alert from the West Riding community network that a fence-hopping suspect was active in the area,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
“Various Blue Security units began patrolling the West Riding suburb as alerts circulated. The suspect had first been spotted in Barron Road. A short while later a resident in Galloway Road messaged that a trespasser matching the description of the fence-hopper had been in their yard,” he said.
“Armed-response officers anticipated the trespasser’s actions and the joint manhunt began, searching the normal escape to Embo,” he said.
“Sure enough the suspect was seen a little later on two different properties in Patricia Road. The armed-response units escalated their patrols. They were finally successful in cornering the suspect in Fischer Road, near the Embo car wash,” he said.
This successful arrest was a great example of excellent communication between the community network and persistent tracking by Blue Security reaction officers.
