Mountain biker robbed at gunpoint

Watch how a man out on a mountain bike ride was robbed at gunpoint by an armed gunman and two accomplices.

This incident occurred in May 2014 in Somerset West. The robbers stopped the cyclist and stole his cellphone, car keys, sunglasses and bicycle.

Fortunately they did not have a clue what the weird contraption strapped to his helmet was, and they looked straight into the GoPro camera. Justice caught up with the robbers and they were arrested within 48 hours, and some of the cyclist’s items were recovered. The footage evidence assisted with prosecution and the robbers were sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.
