Armed Response

A Queensburgh family was traumatised after a home invasion at gunpoint on Tuesday evening. The family of four were fortunate to escape unharmed.
“Blue Security armed-response units raced to the scene after receiving information about the attack on the family,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, “it is alleged that four armed suspects wearing masks and gloves gained access to the property by derailing the driveway gate. They then proceeded to the house and entered through the open kitchen entrance.”
The four family members were held up at gunpoint as the suspects ransacked the house. Four laptops, jewellery, and the victim’s car keys were taken. The suspects fled in a white VW Polo with no number plate. Fortunately for the family, no shots were fired and no-one was injured during the incident.
“Trauma counselling has been arranged for the family. Malvern SAPS attended the scene and investigations are continuing,” he said.
