Incident: Well Heeled Recovery of Stolen Items
Earlier this week, Blue Security’s Armed Response Officer noticed a suspicious male walking along Farrel Road, Morningside. The individual was wearing navy long pants and flip flops. When our officer attempted to stop him, the male fled in the direction of Venice Road.
Our Blue Security officer gave chase and successfully stopped and searched the suspect. A laptop and various items of clothing were found in his backpack. When questioned, the suspect was unable to provide a reasonable explanation for being in possession of the items.
He was promptly detained, and SAPS was contacted. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that the items had been stolen from a property on Goodricke Road earlier that day. The rightful owner was located, and the stolen goods were returned.
We commend our officer for his swift response and vigilance. This is another example of how proactive patrolling and community awareness contribute to a safer neighbourhood.
