Reservoir Hills Hijacking Nightmare: Motorist and Vehicle Recovered

A Reservoir Hills motorist was fortunate to be found unharmed in Clermont, Durban, on Wednesday night after earlier being hijacked in his vehicle outside his home.
“The hijacking occurred as the motorist and a family member arrived home at around 7.15pm,” Blue Security’s tactical ambassador for the Highway Area said. “The victim was opening his garage door when a vehicle that had been following them reappeared. The two suspected hijackers jumped out of their car and held the victim up at gunpoint,” the Tactical Ambassador said.
“The relative had already run into the house and the victim had his keys taken from him before being shoved back into his vehicle,” the spokesman said. “The tracking company was able to detect and follow the signal from the hijacked vehicle which led them to a location in Clermont, Durban,” the Tactical Ambassador said.
“The motorist and his vehicle were recovered by the tracking company and Sydenham SAPS stood down at the scene before accompanying the victim to the charge office. The hijacked victim was fortunate to escape unharmed,” the Tactical Ambassador said.
