Armed Response

A Blue Security armed response officer responded swiftly to the scene of a housebreaking in Chatsworth this morning where he arrested a suspect who he found still inside a Wendy house that he and an accomplice had just broken into.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the armed response officer swooped on the two suspects who were in the process of stealing goods from the Wendy house on property in Sky Ridge Circle. The incident occurred at around 9.45am.
“When the officer arrived at the scene a neighbour advised him that the suspects were still on the premises next door. The officer jumped over the wall into the property to investigate and when one of the suspects saw him, he jumped over a back wall to evade arrest. The officer arrested the second suspect who was still inside the Wendy house from where he had been passing goods to the suspect who was standing outside,” Mathios said.
“The suspect was handed over to the Chatsworth SAPS who attended the scene of the crime. The owner of the house opened a case of housebreaking and attempted theft,” Mathios said.
Two more suspects were arrested recently after they had also gained entry to the properties by jumping over the walls.
