Armed Response

The 2025 SAIDSA Techman Competition has already proven to be a stage for elite technical talent, and two of Blue Security’s own are firmly in the spotlight. Following an impressive showing at the regional leg of the competition in Durban, Anesh Ramdayal secured second place, and Keeran Ruiters took third, securing their spots in the upcoming national finals this June.
These wins are more than just medals on a shelf—they are a testament to the skill, dedication, and rigorous training behind every Blue Security installation.
The SAIDSA Techman Competition is an annual event hosted by the South African Intruder Detection Services Association (SAIDSA) and held during Securex South Africa—the country’s premier security industry expo. It is designed to test the technical proficiency of SAIDSA-certified technicians in the real-world application of security systems.
Participants must plan, wire, terminate, and clearly label an intruder alarm system within a strict time limit, following SAIDSA’s installation standards to the letter. This is not a theory exam. It is a live, high-pressure challenge designed to reward only the best in precision, speed, and accuracy.

Representing Blue Security with pride, Anesh and Keeran approached the competition with calm professionalism and a meticulous eye for detail. Their ability to work under pressure, without compromising on neatness or system integrity, saw them rise above tough competition from across KwaZulu-Natal.
Their achievements also highlight Blue Security’s investment in ongoing technical training, quality assurance, and national standards compliance. It is not simply about getting the job done—it is about getting it done properly, to standard, and with long-term performance in mind.
With regional honours under their belts, Anesh and Keeran now turn their focus to the SAIDSA Techman National Finals this June. Here, South Africa’s top security technicians will go head-to-head for the title of SA’s Top Technician—a highly respected accolade in the security industry.
The road to the national stage is no easy feat, but our team is no stranger to pressure. With strong support, technical mentorship, and a wealth of experience behind them, we know they will represent both Durban and Blue Security with distinction.
Technical expertise is often the invisible thread holding your security system together. You may never see the wiring behind your alarm panel, but it is that hidden precision that ensures your home or business remains protected, day and night.
By participating in competitions like Techman, we are not just showcasing our skills. We are actively benchmarking them against the best in South Africa, raising the standard of installation for every client we serve.
From the panel to the patrol, Blue Security remains committed to professionalism, precision, and people-first protection.
