Springfield Park security guard held at knifepoint by armed gang

Armed robbers held up a security guard at a business premises in Springfield Park yesterday.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said four armed robbers had arrived at the premises in Kosi Place at around 6.15am and managed to enter the premises through the main gate.
“The gang held up the on duty security guard at knifepoint and then proceeded to the guardhouse where they grabbed a cellphone and a monitor for a CCTV camera before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported,” Mathios said.
Mayville SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
