Armed Response

Security guards were tied up on scene during an early morning robbery in Chris Hani Road, Durban.
“Two suspects entered the premises via the front gate of the company in Chris Hani Road in Durban North, early on Thursday morning,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, “the suspects confronted the two security guards on duty, threatening them by pointing a BB gun at them and tied them up.”
The intruders then went on to break a side window of the building and gained entry into the property.
“Blue Security armed-response officers raced to the scene once the guards were able to activate the panic alarm and found that a business robbery had occurred,” he said.
“An investigation is still underway to assess what items were removed. Greenwood Park SAPS attended the scene,” he said.
