Stop horsing around, head to the Shongweni Horse and Wine Festival

Shongweni Polo Pony club will be transformed on Saturday the 22nd of July this year into the world of the Old West. From 11am till late, be prepared for barrel races, line dancing, tent pegging as well as music to accompany the festive atmosphere. Buckle up Granny, Grandpa and the kids and get ready for Land Rover’s annual Horse and Wine festival. Join in for a day of western festivities at this Wild West event.
Get out your blue denims, find your chaps, cowboy hats, bolo ties and boots while we bring this festival to life by dressing up for the occasion. Enjoy a day out in the open with friends and family indulging in high quality craft beers, wines and cuisine.
Be prepared to watch some of Shongweni’s best Equestrian competitors taking part in the Polo Cross on the day and explore the array of options that the craft market has to offer. Trotting through the day, you may end up dancing in the barn to some country music, listening to the singing cowboy, riding a mechanical bull or facing the Land Rover Terrapod introducing the All New Discovery, showing off the full extent of Land Rover’s capabilities.
Children of all ages are welcome (yeehaw!). Children’s entertainment has been separated into two play areas with the younger group catering for youngsters under the age of five, while the older group ranges from six to 14 with any children under the age of 16 entering the event for FREE. On top of this, a wild west S.W.A.T. Laser Tag game will be arranged as part of the kids zone.
