Speedy Response Nabs Silverglen Fencehopper and Pinetown Trespasser

Swift response from Blue Security reaction officers, in two separate incidents, saw fencehoppers and trespassers nabbed in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“A phone-in from an observant neighbour in Silverglen, Chatsworth had the Blue Security reaction officer in the area racing to the scene to investigate. The neighbour had spotted a number of suspects scaling the walls of the house across the road,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.

Pinetown trespasser busted by armed response officers.

“The officer arrived just in time to see about four men running out of the property in question. He was able to apprehend one suspect and detain him until Bayview SAPS arrived,” Mathios said. “Investigations show that the suspects had jumped over the wall in an attempt to break in to the premises. The reaction officer’s arrival interrupted them and they fled without stealing anything from the property,” he said. “The suspect was handed over to SAPS for further processing,” he said.
In a separate incident in Field’s Hill, Pinetown, reaction units responded to an alert, at about 2am, of an intruder trespassing on a property.
“The officers arrived to find the main gate wide open. The resident informed them that the trespasser was at the back of the property near the Wendy house,” Mathios said. “The suspect was caught red-handed inside the shed and detained until SAPS members arrived. He was taken into custody for further processing,” he said. “Investigations revealed that the intruder had gained entry by cutting through the metal sheeting of the rear roof,” he said.
