Stolen Cables Recovered After Suspicious Vehicle Intercepted

During the early hours of the morning, a Blue Armed Response Officer was conducting routine patrols within the Chatsworth area when he noticed a stationary vehicle parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights activated. The officer approached the vehicle to investigate and ensure that no assistance was required.

As the officer neared the vehicle, the driver noticed the approaching response vehicle and immediately drove off. Suspecting suspicious behaviour, the officer requested assistance from the dedicated tactical units in the area while maintaining visual contact with the vehicle.

While following the vehicle, the response officer managed to flag down a passing patrol vehicle. With support from additional security teams and the patrol vehicle, the suspicious vehicle was successfully stopped on the Higginson Highway.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, five male occupants were found inside. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple cut electrical cables stored in the boot. The suspects and the recovered items were taken to the local police station for further investigation and processing.
