Stolen Copper Pipes Recovered During Early Morning Patrol
While responding to an alarm activation in the Montdene area, a Blue Security Armed Response Officer observed a suspicious male on a property.
Upon further inspection, it was established that the suspect was in the process of stealing copper pipes. The officer immediately notified the Control Room and requested backup. Additional Armed Response and Tactical members responded to the scene and began patrolling the surrounding area using the provided suspect description.
The team maintained close pursuit; however, the suspect managed to evade capture. Despite this, the stolen copper pipes were successfully recovered on site.
The recovered items will be handed over to the South African Police Service for further investigation. Members continued patrols in the area to deter further incidents of this nature.
